AFS Project: Change
Udmurt Heritage was a program inspired by Samuel's essay on the importance of recording and preserving indigenous cultures within the Russian Federation and around the world. Sam won the contest, and was aided by second through fifth place winners Josie, Noah, Caitlyn, and Morgan. The group conducted primary research in Russia from July 1st, 2015 to July 14th, 2015 in the Udmurt cities and villages of Izhevsk (Ижевск, Иж, Ижкар) ,Glazov (Глазов, Глаз, Глазкар), Votkinsk (Воткинск, Вотка, Воткакар) Zav'yalova (Завьялово, Дэри) and Ozh-Purga (Ож-Пурга). |
